I've upgraded to a better tablet and photoshop, and I'm going to try posting to the /r/sketchdaily subreddit for a bit, and see how things go.

I saw on reddit today that there is a sub called 'sketchdaily' which I guess is basically what I am doing. I still think this will work better for me since I don't post on reddit as a rule. I'll just get less feedback this way, but that's ok.
My main resource for learning is a book my brother recommended to me called "Dynamic Figure Drawing" by Burne Hogarth. I am also using the tablet and the program GIMP fairly exclusively. I don't know why, but I have very little interest in learning to draw with paper and pencils. Maybe, in time after I've gotten better, I'll switch to a more 'professional' tool or try some other mediums, but this is how I am going to learn for the time being.

I've always wanted to draw but I've never been any good at it. So, to improve, I've bought a drawing tablet for my computer and am making it my goal to sketch and post something every day, good or bad.
